On 31st of December, the New Year Eve of 2017, Ms. Zhang Guojin, the Dean of School of International Education, went to international students’ apartments and celebrated the New Year with international students. She extended cordial greetings to all international students who would stay on campus during winter holiday and presented each student a new year gift.

As a famous Chinese poem says: as strangers in a strange land, we miss our dear ones far away on festive occasions more than ever. The international students from 38 countries will miss their families at this moment a lot. The visit of Dean Zhang Guojin and other teachers to students’ apartments made international students feel cheerful and warm. Each candy and Chinese decorating character "Fu" in the gift pocket, contained a loving care from the faculty of the international school. Although the students couldn't celebrate New Year with with their families, they did receive the sincere care and wishes from the teachers, which would help to dilute the homesickness.
